What am I upto in 2026?

It’s been a long time since I updated my website with any information, so I thought I will just make a list of things that are keeping me occupied. From work to passion project to personal life.

Work and Research

ALICE J/ψ (Polarisation, UPCs)
Working on J/ψ polarisation at forward rapidity in ultra-peripheral collisions. The analysis pipeline is now in place, with a first version of results. Run 3 opens up a more inclusive approach and the ability to do polarisation analysis in 2D (cosTheta, phi) for the first time, but also requires rethinking event selection from scratch.

ALICE MFT
A lot of focus on MFT–muon matching: efficiencies, classifications (true/wrong/fake), and QA. Not glamorous, but essential groundwork for any physics extraction.

IP2I Seminars
Co-leading the seminar series this year, inviting speakers and shaping discussions across topics. Learning more than my immediate field of research and working with others in my institute.

ARC Responsibilities
Reading papers, analysis and helping them reach a unambiguous shape.

GDR Convenor – Session 3
Helping organize and structure one of the GDR sessions. It is a coordiantion role and the attempt is to work as a one cohesive unit of French Physicist.

IIT Indore Joint Project
Building a collaborative project with my startup grant. Hopefully this leads to having a student visit later this year to work on some UPC analysis.

Marie Curie Fellowship Invitations
This year, I’m also inviting candidates to apply for Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships with me as a host.

It’s been interesting to think about how to present a research vision—not just for myself, but for someone else to build on. The ideas revolve around ultra-peripheral collisions, forward physics, and small-x dynamics, but there’s room to shape it depending on the candidate.

The Stardust Collective

A monthly postcard series for children :science, art, and storytelling in a physical format. Each card carries one idea about the universe. Slow, intentional, and meant to be kept.
Children can write back with questions, and I reply personally.

The pilot now includes ~30 families across countries. Still small, still evolving, and very close to me.

Personal

Exercise
Trying to stay consistent. Nothing fancy, just showing up about twice a week.

French
Actively working on it this year. Twice a week, hoping to get more comfortable in communicating freely in the language.

Children
LOVING the one year old phase and I have never had a bigger ache to be at home than in this phase!

Travel
ALl about children and basically taking care of them in a new setting!

Everything else
Emails, mentoring, ideas in progress, and the usual in-between of life as a working person
