About

I am presently a staff scientist (chargé de researché) of CNRS at Institute of Physics at Two Infinities (IP2I), Lyon, France. Before this, for two years, I was a postdoctoral scholar at Institute of Research in Fundamental Laws of the Universe (IRFU), Center for Atomic Energy, Saclay, Paris. I have a PhD in experimental nuclear physics from Stony Brook University supervised by Prof. Thomas Hemmick and Prof. Gabor David.

Through my postdoc and PhD, I have worked on experimental high energy nuclear physics in both understanding heavy ion collisions and electron on light ion collisions. My work involves both data analysis and detector building.

Apart from research, I am very passionate about teaching. During my years at Stony Brook, outside of my regular TA requirements, I have been involved in the University’s High School Women In Science and Engineering (H.S WISE) outreach program for four years. For this program, I have designed a 10 part lecture and lab series introducing high school students to high energy particle physics. More details of my teaching journey can be found here.

More information of my academic journey can be found in my CV.

Outside of physics, I love cooking, reading, biking, traveling, meeting people… all the usual stuff.
